Courchevel Countdown!

In just 10 days we will be here again, in this exact loft/apartment. It's one of six apartments above a fab boutique hotel, nestled only a few metres from the gondola lift.  With a log fire in the living room, a spare bedroom for my Mum and a massive sun drenched balcony facing the slopes, its fair to say we are looking forward to our trip.
Conditions are look perfect at the moment, so fingers crossed, it lasts! French Alps - see you soon :-)

Girlie night

This week I met up with my friend Susie for drinks in our local gastro pub.  We then went back to my flat where I earlier in the day had left the wine chilling and prepared a meal for us.
It was really good to catch up as we haven't seen each other since before Christmas.  We always pick up where we left off last time, and this was no different!

Breakfast at Landmark Hotel

On Wednesday morning Bear and I went to The Landmark Hotel for a luxurious slap up breakfast, as part of our midweek quality time-plan.
Pricey indeed, but the range of options were unbelievable - shame it was limited for me with my low carb diet! Have agreed on returning on a day after the night before, for a carb fuelled brunch :-)

Erik, the entertainer!

Apart from being accepted and now studying Medicine at Imperial College, which is ranked top ten of world's best universities, (after already finishing a 3 year degree in Biochemistry and Forensic Science), my little brother is also somewhat of a musical genius, playing both the guitar and the piano. Here's a clip of him playing at my Mum's house last week - totally unaware of me filming.

As Sean is totally in awe of him, I'm hoping he will follow in his uncle's footsteps! No pressure there my son! LOL!

Fave Whitney tune

This is how I would like to remember her

My favourite Whitney Houston song of all times is undoubtedly this! I remember being a young girl dancing and singing this at the top of my lungs in front of the mirror, pretending the song was about my big crush at school (“How Will I Know if He Really Loves Me?!).  Even now at this age, I can't sit still when I hear it! LOL :-)
